How to "teach" effectively? The goal is not to counter assumptions with other assumptions, which is what school does. The only way for children to learn is to find ways to indicate, to draw attention, so that the child sees facts, and facts speak for themselves. The challenge is to see things from the eye of commonality. In other words, work from near to far.
